Hi Patti,

Just want to let you know how much I love your music. You are one of the few artists that really reaches into my soul – your music is medicine to me. I don’t even know where I first heard ‘Level Green Boys,’ but last year I was falling in love with a guy in NYC, and we were sharing music and he played me LGB, and said ‘This is one of the most healing songs I’ve ever heard’ and I was like, ‘OMG! I love that song too!’ so it was nice to share the specialness of it with someone. Sadly, the relationship didn’t work out…dude chickened out when i brought up the ‘c’ word (commitment) – even now, I think it a small tragedy that he didn’t seem to realize the rare significance of our connection, part of which was our shared love of your music!

Anyway, it’s a gloomy Sunday in Vancouver, BC, and I’m listening to you, and thought I’d send you a note. Thanks for your music. You’re a great singer, a great writer, and a great musician.

Patti,

I know Jennifer has probably thanked you generously (as her sweet heart is prone to do), but I also wanted to add my gratitude into the mix.

I met her as a custom song client wanting a first dance tune for my Dr. Seuss-themed wedding in May 2010. The results of our single conversation were so amazing that I chose to surprise my groom with it as I walked down the aisle.

Since then, I’ve been proud to call her my friend, and have offered any and all the help I can, including a few extra dollars and public relations/advertising research.

Her fundraiser is simply amazing, and when I found out about it, I pitched in, too. The updated total, as of August 7, is $9,000.

On March 4 the “Paper Kisses” files were finalized and uploaded to the manufacturer, Oasis CD (oasiscd.com). The CD release party is set for March 28, Tom’s birthday. I’m really looking forward to it! Everyone who worked on the project is invited, and I already know that parties at Tom and Sera’s are filled with good company and music.
